WORLD NEWS: Chelsea to sell 3 stars for Erling Haaland

Per German publication Bild, Blues owner Roman Abramovich has released £150 million (R3 billion) to sign Haaland, but it is claimed the club will need to offload some attacking players in order to get the deal over the line.

Chelsea are now said to be willing to sell Hakim Ziyech, Tammy Abraham, and Callum Hudson-Odoi, with all three having somewhat fallen down the pecking order under Thomas Tuchel.

Abraham is perhaps the most likely to leave Stamford Bridge as he has featured just twice for the club since February. The striker has been linked with a number of Premier League clubs, including West Ham United, Aston Villa, and Leicester City.

Ziyech, meanwhile, did not set the English top flight alight in his first season with the London club, and according to Sports Illustrated, AC Milan are strong favourites to sign the star if he does leave Chelsea.

As for Hudson-Odoi, the winger has played just seven times under the German tactician to date, and could leave in search of more regular game time.

Selling all three players for their market value would raise about £90 million (R1.8 billion), according to Bild.

Haaland has sparked interest from several big clubs, but his reported £150 million price tag has been off-putting considering the current financial climate.

Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc also told BILD recently: “Nothing has changed. We are firmly planning with Erling for the new season.”

Chelsea will be hoping £150 million can change the Bundesliga club’s stance on selling the Norway star.
