Nzema East MP speaks on the current state of Axim Sports Complex
The Member of Parliament for Evalue Ajomoro Gwira, Honourable Kofi Arko Nokoe has shared his concerns with the current state of the Axim Sports Complex which has been rejected for the past months.
The newly elected MP in an interview with West End Radio said, he will have a brief discussion with the sports ministry in the coming days.
According to him, the brief meeting with the Sports Minister form part of his effort to ensure that the project is being executed.
‘It my worry that the Axim Sports Complex is still not completed, I have raised concerns on the floor of parliament and very soon, the minister will be invited as well” he said.
The 5,000-seater ultra modern Sports Stadium contains an ICT centre, counselling centre, track and multi purpose complex, modern facilties, FIFA standard pitch, Athletics Tatiana, washroom and toilet facilities.
‘I give the assurance that, I will push for the project to be completed’.he added
The project which commenced on the 30th of April, 2016 in fulfilment of the Presidents promise to give the youths good Sports centers across the country and also shape the morals and boost the potentials of the youth in Nzema area has since not been completed leaving the facility in a bad state.
