Diawisie Taylor and Four others players leaving Karela United
Ghana Premier League side Karela United will be hit with yet another players exodus as five key players are expected to leave due to contractual reasons.
Diawisie Taylor
The Star man is on his way out of the Aiyinase-based after a 5-year stint with the club. He is expected to replace Kwame Poku at USM Algiers in the Algerian Super League.
Taylor’s prolificacy won him the top-scorers accolade in the just ended season with 18-goals.
Saddick Alhasaan
The former Wa All Stars midfielder will be leaving Karela United and he is expected to be part of newly promoted Real Tamale United squad for the 2021/22 soccer season.
Varney Sando Boakai Junior
The Liberian international will also leave the club following his uninspiring performance at the club since his acquisition in December 2020. Sando has been struggling for a place in the team under the club’s head coach Evans Adotey and the other coaches. The player has recently requested for his transfer ahead of the next football season.
Richard Baidoo
Baidoo who had an Incredible campaign this season with the Passioners will have to return to his parent club after ending his season long loan.
He joined Karela on loan from Accra Hearts of Oak. He is currently part of the Black Stars B squad.
Evans Sarfo
According to reports, Evans Sarfo and his representative have kicked against the club’s contract extension offer amid the interest of some European clubs.
He is touted as one of the highly-rated young midfielders in the local scene. His stellar performance earned him a place in the Ghana U20 team who won the WAFU U20 championship in Mauritania.
