The 27-year-old featured for Medeama SC in a second spell last season where he netted 4 goals in 18 league appearances.

But the Tarkwa-based Ghana Premier League side deemed the lanky striker surplus to requirement and released him at the end of the 2020/21 season.

Abass will be hoping to impress and be rewarded a deal by King Faisal who are looking to secure replacements for a couple of their forwards they lost in the transfer window.

King Faisal transferred star man Kwame Peprah to Orlando Pirates, Kwabena Boateng also to in South Africa and Frimpong Boateng to GPL rivals Great Olympics.

Once a prolific goal monger at Medeama SC, Abass – who shown for the Mauve and Yellows in their 2016 Caf Confederation Cup campaign – has not been the same since an injury-plagued spell with Asante Kotoko.

He joined the Porcupine Warriors in January 2017 after a rather brief spell with Inter Allies before leaving as a free agent in March 2019.

Four months after his Kotoko exit, he got signed by Nigerian giants Enyimba International FC with whom he spent just one season.

Abass returned home in October last year in a reunion with Medeama SC.
