2021/22 GPL fixtures to be released September 24
September 24 has been confirmed as the release date of the fixtures for the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League (GPL).
The Ghana Football Association (GFA), today, announced this to the notice of “the Sporting public and all stakeholders especially fans” of its top-most club competition.
The 306 fixtures for the 18-club GPL competition will be revealed via the GFA media channels on that Friday afternoon.
Last month, the GFA communicated that the new season will be in motion starting the weekend of October 29. It is to run until Sunday, June 19, 2022.
Already the opening registration window for players and officials is underway and scheduled to shut on Saturday, October 9, 2021. The Club Licensing Department of the GFA has also commenced inspection of submitted match venues.
Champions Hearts of Oak will be hoping to defend the title as the competition welcomes three newly-promoted sides – Real Tamale United FC, Bibiani Gold Stars SC and Accra Lions FC.
