Domesticsportsgh.com can exclusively report that, Nzema Kotoko Management has this evening received news of the verbal notice of resignation from it’s head coach Henry Wellington after the players boycotted training earlier today.
The former Hearts of Oak gaffer has verbally resigned from his post with immediate effect, citing personal reasons for his exit.
Wellington actions comes just minutes after players failed to train on Monday following an unpaid salaries.
Henry Wellington becomes the 3rd person to leave his post in the Nzema Kotoko technical department.
As Edmund Ackah’s exit is Known to have been caused by misunderstanding with the club’s top brass, Wellington’s yet not known.
Coach Henry Wellington was reappointed as Nzema Kotoko head coach in 2021 and guided them to an unprecedented 4th position in the just ended 2020/21 Ghana Football Season.
With his exit, Nzema Kotoko is only left with fitness coach Charles Kainyah at helm of affairs as the club goes into their final preseason training ahead of the Division One League start.
