Samartex 1996 confirm Henry Wellington as new head coach

National Division One League side, FC Samartex have announced the appointment of Henry Nii Lamptey Wellington as the club’s new interim head coach.

The 57-year old replaces Kobina Amissah who left after mutually terminating his contract.

Henry Wellington, a CAF Licence ‘B’ holder, will lead the Samartex technical bench for the upcoming Super cup.

An official announcement via the club’s socials in the early hours of Wednesday, October 13 read:

“The management of FC Samartex 1996 have wishes to announce the appointment of Me Henry Wellington as the interim head of the technical team of the club with immediate effect”.

Henry Wellington guided the Nzema Kotoko to an historic fourth position at the end of the 2020/21 Division One League.
