The gates will open for free for fans who will like to attend Africa Women’s Cup of Nations (AWCON) qualifying encounter between Ghana’s Black Queens and Nigeria’s Super Falcons at the Accra Stadium on Sunday.
The game is the return leg of the first round of the 2022 AWCON qualifiers, winners of which will progress to the next round of the competition.

On Sunday, the Queens will be hoping to overturn a 0-2 deficit they suffered at the hands of the Falcons in the first leg encounter at the Mobolaji Johnson Stadium in Lagos.
A brace by Uchenna Kano in five minutes, handed the Nigerians the crucial advantage into the second leg. It is now a must-win for the Queens who returned to Accra on Wednesday to review their performance in Lagos and also prepare for the return encounter.

While the Queens who have never won the AWCON need to score at least three goals to progress straight away, a 2-0 result will push the game into penalties to decide the winners, while a draw will hand the ticket to the Falcons who have won the tournament nine times and are currently, the defending champions.

This crunch game is one of the 22 first round games to decide the 11 teams to compete in the 12th AWCON to be staged in Morocco next year. That tournament will also be used to select Africa’s representatives to the 2023 Women’s World Cup (WWC) to be co-hosted by Australia and New Zealand.
