Karela United has posted an emphatic 3-0 win over Samartex in a pre-season friendly match ahead of the upcoming football season today in a game played at the Crosby Awuah Memorial Park.
The Ghanaian giants finalized their preseason campaign in today’s game as they walked away with an improved win against division One League side Samartex Fc.
Having trained for over a weeks , the Karela team earlier this afternoon played a friendly match against Timber giants which is the last game ahead of their league opener against Ogya boys.
The Pride and Passion club display good form and managed to cruise to a 3-0 victory courtesy of goals from winger Darlington Gyanfosu and a brace from midfield dynamo Umar Bashiru.
On the Matchday, coach Bismark Kobi Mensah handed starting roles to new signings Daniel Kwofie, George Amonoo, Kervin Andoh, Christopher Bonney as well as Ebenezer Ocran.
Karela is expected to build on today’s win ahead of the 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League season which commences this Friday.
On the opening weekend of the new season, the Aiyinase-based will host Aduana Stars at the Crosby Awuah Memorial Park on Sunday.
