Karela United goal poacher Abdul Aziz Dogo has set his sight on breaking the most goals scored in a season by Diawisie Taylor in the
Ghana Premier League.
Former Karela United poster boy Diawisie Taylor holds the enviable record of having scored the most goals in a season for the Pride and Passion side.
He bagged 18 goals to win the goal king in the 2020/21 GPL season.
Aziz Dogo who made his debut with a goal against Aduana Stars believe he can break and set a new goal-scoring record at his current club.
“My target is to have good season and help win more games here, score more, and also help my team to finish in the top four if we are not able to win the league”
When asked if he can break Diawisie Taylor’s record at Karela United, the newly signed forward revealed he will be much happy if he breaks that prestigious record.
” Taylor was fantastic player, I’m so much happy I have been handed his iconic shirt” so I’m looking forward to be like him by breaking his record” but won’t be under pressure to do that” he told Domesticsportsgh.com after the game.
Dogo Aziz will lead Karela United attack against AshantiGold in matchday two of the 2019/2020 Ghana Premier League on Saturday.
He joined Karela United from Wa Suntaa on a 2-yeal deal.
Karela United are sixth on the table with 1 points after one game.
