The host community, Awiebo won the maiden edition of the SHAIP Africa Community Students Unions’ Tournament after beating Sanzule 4:3 on Penalties to lift the trophy at the Awiebo catholic school park on Saturday, October 30,2021.
Awiebo Students Union fought hard to break the deadlock but Sanzule Student union stood tall in defence.
The two teams came into the game with loads of confidence having overpowered their respective opponents in the one day event and that tenacity and quality was on display. After 90 minutes of football the game ended in a pulsating 0:0 draw setting the game for penalties.

The two losers in the Semi finals received a ball each and an undisclosed amount of money whiles the second placed team received two balls and a cash with the winners getting a giant trophy, a ball and an undisclosed amount of cash as well.
