Ex-Liberty Professionals midfielder Kwame Boahene has decided to prematurely hang up his boot from active football for personal reasons.
The former Medeama SC and Asante Kotoko tallisman who has been out of football in the last three-years after the 2019 NC special cup is currently in Netherlands and has hanged up his boots from football to go after his interest in a different occupation in the European country.
He helped Asante Kotoko to win the 2017 MTN FA Cup after beating their arch rivals Hearts of Oak 3-0 in the finals played at the Tamale Sports Stadium.
Boahene was part of the Ghana national U-20 team that won silver medal at the 2013 Africa Youth Championship and a bronze medal at the FIFA U-20 World Cup held in Turkey.
He also featured for the Black Stars B team under Coach Maxwell Konadu.
