Kotoko returned to the iconic Baba Yara stadium after a gap of 560 days in resounding fashion as Ismail Ganiu and Isaac Oppong scored in their 2-0 victory against Bechem United in the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season.
Asante Kotoko ended their second league game with all three points against Bechem United in Kumasi.
The two teams created some chances in the first half but none managed to find the net.
In the second half, Kotoko showed more purpose and were rewarded in the 87th minute via a Ganiyu strike.
Samuel Boateng gave the hosts a two goal cushion with a header in injury time.
Kotoko remain one of the best teams in the competition, clinching six points so far and placing first
Bechem United have been good so far despite the loss with three points.
