Karela United midfielder Umar Bashiru is self-assured of victory against his former club Asante Kotoko on match day five of the Ghana Premier League.
The Passioners will welcome the Porcupine Warriors to the Crosby Awuah Memorial Park on Sunday.
Asante Kotoko handed Karela United it first ever lose at the then “fortress” in week 13 of the 2020/21 season with goals from Ex-Passioner Imoro Ibrahim and Kwame Poku.

The Pride and Passion lads were humbled 2-0 by regional rivals Medeama SC last week at the Akoon Park.
Speaking to Western Region’s leading portal, Domesticsportsgh.com ahead of the crucial game, the 24-year old who joined Karela United from Wa Suntaa says he feels no pressure and believes the Passioners will score Kotoko to recover from Monday’s defeat in Tarkwa and also end Kotoko’s unbeaten streak.
“It is a normal feeling when playing against Kotoko, although it’s one of the biggest game, we will score Kotoko on Sunday”.
“I missed last season defeat here in CAM Park due to card accumulation but I will do my best to help the club deliver on Sunday”.he added.
