Ghana and South Africa could clash again soon despite the perceived bad blood between the two countries football associations after the 2022 World Cup qualifier in November, according to Ghanasoccernet report.
South Africa have written to Ghana requesting a friendly match before the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations next year in Cameroon, a reports sighted by Ghanasoccernet.
Bafana Bafana didn’t qualify for the continental showpiece and are won’t be present in Qatar due to the controversial Black Stars defeat, but have requested the match to prepare their relatively young squad for future assignments.
Head coach Hugo Broos appreciates the competitiveness of the Black Stars and wants his side to once again test themselves against the four-time African champions.
The friendly match would also benefit Ghana who need fantastic preparation that could result in them winning the AFCON for the first time since 1982.
Black Stars are drawn in the same group as Morocco, Gabon and debutants Comoros.
