The Board Chairman of Asante Kotoko, Dr. Kwame Kyei has bought the 12,000 seater Anane Boateng Stadium, according to Accra-based Onua FM.
The multi-purpose stadium located at Abrankese in the Ashanti Region was the home venue for Kessben FC before it was renamed Medeama SC.
According to the reports, Dr. Kwame Kyei bought the stadium around $1.7m from its owner Mr Kwabena Kess who is the CEO of Kessben Group of Companies.
The Anane Boateng Sports Stadium is a multi-use stadium in Kumasi, built by Mr Kwabena Kess the C.E.O of Kessben Group of Companies Ghana at Abrankese near Kuntenase in the Bosomtwe District of Ashanti Region.
It is used mostly for football matches and serve as a gathering grounds for thousands of people. The stadium holds 12,000 spectators and opened in 2007.
