The Passioners needed a brace from the WAFU zone B winner, Kelvin Andoh, to return to winning ways as they defeated Ashanti Gold Sporting Club 2-1 at the Crosby Awuah Memorial Park in week 19 of the Ghana Premier League.
The Pride and Passions outfits ended the first round of the 2021-22 season on a whirlwind fashion, going six games unbeaten but suddenly lost 2-0 in their week 18 match to Aduana Stars at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park in Dormaa.
Karela United found a hero in Kelvin Andoh today as his goals powered the Nzema-Aiyinasi club to a sweet victory.

Eric Esso got the visitors ahead on the 21st minute but the Ashgold defence went to sleep and allowed Karela’s winger Kelvin Andoh to ghost past his markers to tap in the equalizing goal on the 40th minutes after beautifully played on by youngster Patrick Mensah.
The two sides attacked in each other, especially in the second half, but Dennis Voutre pulled off some heroic saves to keep his side alive until Andoh headed home Patrick Mensah cross into the away side net to score his second goal of the match.
Karela United will travel to Berekum to play Chelsea in week 20.
