President of Ghana, H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has charged GFA President Kurt Okraku to keep the current Black Stars and its technical team together for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
The Black Stars on Tuesday evening held the Super Eagles of Nigeria to a 1-1 draw in the playoff tie of the African qualifiers for the 2022 world cup scheduled to be staged in Qatar.
Courtesy of that result, Ghana secured qualification to the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
To personally show appreciation to the Black Stars, President Akufo-Addo has invited the national team including players, the technical team, and some officials of the GFA to the Jubilee House.
Speaking at the meeting, President Akufo-Addo told Kurt Okraku, “Do everything possible to keep the team and coaches together at least until after the World Cup then we can take a long-term decision.”
The President further assured the Black Stars that he is putting together a special package for the team as a way of showing his appreciation to the team for qualifying for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
