Ghana sealed qualification at the expense of Nigeria on an away goal rule last month.

The four-time African Champions has been paired against Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea in Group H.

Partey and Kofi Kyereh who played an instrumental role in Ghana’s qualification to the biggest soccer mundial season has been plagued by injuries setback.

The former Atletico Madrid star suffered another injury in Arsenal’s 3-0 defeat against Crystal Palace and is expected to return to action before the end of the season.

According to Premier League injury expert, Ben Dinnery, Partey could recover in time for North London derby between Arsenal and Tottenham slated for May 12.

Daniel Kofi Kyereh on the other hand has been hit by several injury concerns this season despite his fine form.

The 26-year-old suffered an injury in their game against Werder Bremen last week, a game he scored.

He scored the side only goal when they played a 1-1 draw with Werder Bremen.

The enterprising midfielder who has had a descent a campaign in the German second-tier could miss their game against SV Sandhausen in the German Bundesliga 2 on Saturday.

St Pauli coach ahead of their trip to SV Sandhausen hopes Kofi Kyereh will recover as soon as possible but indicated the club will not risk to play him.

“Kofi has had thigh problems since the game against Werder Bremen,” St Pauli coach Timo Schultz said at the press conference ahead of their game.

“We hope that we can get this under control as soon as possible, but we won’t take any risks,” he added.

Kofi Kyereh has scored 11 goals and provided 10 assists in 26 games.

The duo recurring injuries comes as a worry to the Black Stars who has been paired in a tough group.

Partey and Kofi Kyereh’s have been on top form regardless of injury setbacks, however, much will depend on them if the Black Stars could make impact at the World Cup.
