Bomoakpole community won the maiden edition of the Comrades Club Ghana Easter Football Gala which took place at the Assasetre Community Park in the Ellembelle District of the Western Region.
The following communities took part in the Gala , host Assasetre, Nkroful, Tandan, Nzema Akropong, Mvenlesolo, Bomoakpole, Nyamebekyere and Edubriem.
The game was organized as Easter sports activities by section of youths from Assasetre headed by Hon. Bonzoh Ewereko and the nearby community which is Bomoakpole won at the end of the day whiles Kwame Nkrumah’s hometown Nkroful came second position .
The winning team received giant trophy, cash prize of Ghc 500.00 and various prices and as well the losing teams received consolation prices.
The CEO of Comrades Club GH, Hon Bonzoh Ewereko and the office of the Ellembelle MP, Hon Armah Kofi Buah and the entire group thanked the participating towns and teams for taken part in the Gala, he also urged the youths to remain United and compliments the effort of the elderly ones in community building , he as advice that the youths should all time embrace peace and unity and that is the only way they can leave freely to promote development.
He disclosed that Ellembelle is becoming the hub of sports in the Western Region and is calling on all to come to the community in investing in sports and other related business as there are lots of talents and potentials in the area which is yet to be taped.
The Coach and the Captain of Bomoakpole in a separate interview express their happiness of wining the tournament and promised to defend that come next year.
