Former member of the Ivorian Football Federation (FIF), Mr. Yacine Idriss Diallo has become the new President of the Ivorian Football Federation.
He was elected ahead of his competitor Mr. Sory Diabaté, this Saturday April 23, 2022 at the Félix Houphouët-Boigny Foundation for Peace Research. A tight election which was decided after a second round of voting by 63 votes against 61.
Didier Drogba, the former captain of the Elephants, candidate for this election, had been eliminated in the first, well ahead of the two favorites.
81 active members made up the electoral college, including 14 clubs from Ligue 1, 24 from Ligue 2, 38 from Division 3 and 5 Interest Groups.

Well before this plateau, there is the historic election of the Chairman, Vice-Chairman and the members of the Governance, Audit and Compliance Committee.
Mr. Gondo Pierre, Mrs. Gnahoua Adeline were respectively elected.

In addition, Mrs. Mariam Dao Gabala, President of the Electoral Commission announced the handover ceremony for Saturday, April 30, 2022.

Note the presence of Mr. Mamoutou Touré, member of the FIFA Council, President of the Malian Football Federation, who led the FIFA and CAF delegation.
