Former Arsenal and Barcelona midfielder Alexandre Song has won the 2021/2022 Djibouti Premier League with Artar Solar 7 and It is the second consecutive Premier League title for the former West Ham midfielder and Cameroon international Alexandre Song who completed his move to the Djibouti City club from Swiss giants FC Sion in November 2020.
The ex-Arsenal midfielder joined the Djibouti City club from Swiss giants.
The 34-year-old was among the players fired by the Swiss top-flight after he refused to slash his salary following the outbreak of Covid-19.
Song then signed for Arta Solar eight months later to begin life in Djibouti as he was also expected to help the team’s youth development. Two years after joining the Stade El Hadj Hassan Gouled giants, Song has won his second consecutive league title to his name.
Song played for Arsenal between 2006 and 2012, before moving to Barcelona where he won La Liga in 2013.
