Basake Holy Stars on Saturday afternoon laboriously and deservedly defeated Skyy FC 2-1 to amass the three maximum points in week 27 of the National Division One Zone II League.
The host scored in either half as they recorded a dramatic victory at the Crosby Awuah Memorial Park.
Frank Aryee opened the scoring for the Basake based outfits in the 43rd minute after a great team play as he raced forward to get to the end of it before slotting home.
Bulky striker, Ebenezer Mamatah scored a 50th minute equalizer with a fantastic display in a 3v2 situation before firing home.
The Eagles of Wassa changed their approach to the game as they bombed forward and attacked the Holy Stars area but the array of threats resulted futile.
The Yɛ Gbɛma lads won a last ditch penalty kick in the 92nd minute and set-piece expert Musibau Aziz accepted the responsibility from 12 yards and made no mistake as he scored to give the host a cruising victory.
Basake Holy Stars sit in the 7th position with 37 points.
The newbies will visit Wassaman on matchday 28 of the National Division One League.
