A number of footballers have put in stellar performances in the 2021/22 season, with the likes of Karim Benzema, Vinicius Junior, Christopher Nkunku, Heung-min Son, Robert Lewandowski and Mohamed Salah, among others, having stood out throughout the course of the campaign.

However, for Ronaldinho, it is the latter who has really impressed, with the ex-FC Barcelona superstar recently issuing some heavy praise for the Liverpool star.

“I wished I could play alongside Mohamed Salah,” he said, according to KingFut.

“He is one of the best players in the world who I always like to watch.”

The Selecao icon was also asked if he had any advice for the Egyptian, who will soon be entering the final 12 months of his contract with the Reds.

“An advice to Salah regarding his future? The most important thing is for him to be happy, football is a source of happiness and it must be no matter what club he plays for in the future,” Ronaldinho added.

“He has to keep playing football in a way that makes him happy because there’s nothing better than playing football.”

With reports linking Salah with a potential exit from Liverpool for the likes of Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain or Barcelona in the upcoming transfer window, the Egypt captain put those rumours to bed on Wednesday, when he confirmed he would still be a Reds star in the 2022/23 campaign.
