Italian Serie A side, US Lecce are in talks to sign young defender Augustine Agyapong from Ghana Premier League giants Asante Kotoko.
The club at the end of last season secured promotion from the Italian Serie B after putting up a very good performance to fight for the qualification.
Keen on making a strong case in the Italian Serie A, US Lecce have decided to bring in reinforcements to strengthen their squad of the first team.
Having identified Augustine Agyapong as one of such players, the club is now in advanced talks to sign him from Asante Kotoko.
The young defender only joined the Porcupine Warriors club last season from lower-tier side Delsamaco FC.
He managed to do very well and as a result helped the team to emerge as champions of the Ghana Premier League for the 2021/22 football season.
He is set to end the 2021/22 football season with one goal and one assist after making 13 appearances for Asante Kotoko.
