The newly promoted Ghana Premier League side, Samartex FC have presented the trophy and medals to the Western Regional Minister, Hon Kobby Okyere Darko-Mensah on Monday afternoon.
The Timber Giants won the 2021/22 Division One League Zone II table with 68 points to make it to the Ghana’s topflight football for the very first in their history.
Business and Development officer, Mr Paul Ayamba led the delegation to the regional capital on Monday.
Mr Kobby Okyere Darko-Mensah, the Regional Minister, said the victory affirmed the region’s position, with a lot to offer to the region.
He congratulated the team and also urged management of the team to plan, organize, coordinate and implement good policies that would attract investors into the sector.
