Nsoatreman Football Club qualified to the top-flight after three seasons in the championship and are expected to be much better equipped for Premier League football this time around.

Samuel Ofori’s 21 goals fired Nsoatreman to the Division One League Zone One title, the talismanic forward, continues to lead the line and can score goals at any level.

Captain Obed Eduah Anford is an exciting young talent providing the creative spark for the Nsoatre-based club.

The club was formed in January 21, 2019 and it is owned by the member of Parliament for Sunyani West Constituency Hon. Ignatius Baffour Awuah.

Nsoatreman Football Club achieved a historic feat at the Accra Sports Stadium on Tuesday, June 21, after beating Tamale City with a 2-1 scoreline to earn promotion to the Ghana Premier League.

The two teams came up against each other after finishing the regular Division One League Zone One campaign with 71 points each and levelled on head-to-head, requiring a playoff to decide who joins Kotoku Royals and Samartex to be promoted.

DOL Zone Two Winners- Samartex FC

Following the Timber Giants promotion to the Premier League for the first time, they became the 101th club to play in the Ghana topflight.

Samartex 1996 finished Zone II as leaders with 68 points in the Championship last season, holding off pressure from the likes of Ebusua Dwarfs, New Edubiase, Nzema Kotoko and BYFA to clinch the automatic promotion spot.

They were guided to the Premier League by Henry Wellington the former Hearts of Oak, Kotoko and Nzema Kotoko coach, who took over at early stage of the league in November 2021 from Kobina Amissah and securing promotion in late May, with three games remaining.

The Sax are already set to shaping their squad for the new season.

The likes of Prince Antwi, Emmanuel Adu Siaw, Richard Asare, Tijani Musah, to add Premier League experience to the ranks, while Godwin Abusah is a player reportedly being eyed by some of the top flight’s biggest clubs.
Samartex is a football club based at Samreboi in the Wassa Amenfi West Municipal of the Western Region, the club was founded in 1996 by the Samartex Timber and Plywood Company as a recreational football club.

DOL Zone Three Winners- Kotoku Royals

The Royals historic journey in the divisions embarks on a new chapter this season, with Premier League football arriving for the first time in their history to coincide with a first full campaign at their impressive new Akim Oda Sports Stadium.

They became the only first indigenous team from the Eastern Region to secure promotion in the elite division of Ghana football after Koforidua-based Power FC suffered relegation from the topflight in 2007.

Hard working Chief Executive officer Kwasi Amposah has led Kotoku Royals to the Premier League for the first time in their history.

The Royals have gathered a number of plaudits for the swashbuckling style of play they have implemented, and it will be interesting to see how they adapt to the Premier League in the coming season.
