The appeal cases brought by Ashantigold SC and Inter Allies FC against the Disciplinary Committee’s findings on their respective offenses have been rejected by the GFA Appeals Committee.
After being found guilty of match manipulation in their 2020–21 Ghana Premier League match played at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium, both teams appealed the GFA Disciplinary Committee’s rulings.
The Disciplinary Committee’s determination that the game was not played competitively or under competitive circumstances is supported by the facts, according to the GFA Appeals Committee’s ruling.
“We endorse all sanctions issued by the GFA Disciplinary Committee against the Clubs, Players, and Officers,” the Appeals Committee declared in its ruling.
The parties have received the Appeals Committee Decision.
