The pre-season tournament returns to its original format after it was extended to an eight-club competition last term.
This year’s Top Six will be contested by FA Cup champions Hearts Of Oak, Karela United, Medeama SC, Great Olympics, Bechem United and Berekum Chelsea who just replaced Champions Asante Kotoko.
Asante Kotoko are due to travel to Turkey on Sunday for a continuation of their preseason rituals hence, the decision to pull out of the preseason tournament.
Friday’s launch is expected to be used by organizers of the competition to unveil its sponsors and also to announce fixtures and other associated formalities.
