Asante Kotoko defeated Nsoatreman FC to record their first win of the season
Asante Kotoko defeated premier league newcomers Nsoatreman FC 2-1 in an outstanding betPawa Premier League match at the Baba Yara Sports stadium in Kumasi on Wednesday for their first win of the season.
Goals in either half by Stephen Amankona (12th minute) and Isaac Oppong (47th minute) earned Kotoko maximum points as they moved to the ninth position on the league log on four points from two matches.
Nsoatreman reduced the deficit in the 50th minute through a header by midfielder Philip Ofori but could not stop the defending league champions from a deserved victory.
