Karela United scraped a hard-fought goaless in their 2022-23 Betpawa Ghana Premier League match-day six visit to Hearts of Oak on Sunday afternoon.
It was a game which was dominated by the Phobians but failed to take their chances in both halves of the game.
Evans Adomako Wiredu missed the best chance on day for the Passioners after beautifully laid on by Solomon Twene but his shot was paried out by Hearts goalie Richmond Ayi.
Daniel Afriyie Barnie on two occasions failed to break the deadlock for Hearts of Oak, with the first after a wayward header from Gideon Asante Yeboah’s sweet drive which was punched out by Felix Kyei.

Barnie again failed to notch home after he was set on by Salifu Ibrahim.
Hearts of Oak show glimpse of finding the net but Salifu’s attempt was timely cleared by Karela United captain Kodwo Addae.
With the result, Karela United will stay seventh on the table with 10 points, five more adrift first-placed Accra Lions. Hearts of Oak would feel disappointed because the result leaves them in 10th position with six points after six games.
The Passioners will play King Faisal on matchday 7 on Wednesday while Hearts of Oak visit Accra Lions on Thursday.
