The Western Regional Football Association chairman and club president of Division one league outfits, Basake Holy Stars, Hon.Simon Ehomah has pleaded that he is interested in becoming the new owner of Karela United.
The Pride and Passion side have been the subject of interest from a number of millionaires ever since Abena Brigidi decided to sell the club.
Hon.Simon Ehomah, a native of Nzema has revealed plans to own the club and let the club remain on Nzema soil.
According to source close to our portal Domesticsportsgh.com, he is shocked the club will likely be move from Nzema and he is ready to manage and own the club.
Earlier this week it was rumoured that astute politician Haruna Iddrisu has completed the acquisition of financially-stricken Ghana Premier League side Karela United.
This means the Minority Leader in Ghana’s Parliament and representative for Tamale South Constituency, who owns Division One League side Steadfast FC, has secured the top-flight status of the Nzema-Aiyinase-based side.
It is expected that the new owners will relocate the club to the Northern part of Ghana and continue playing in the Ghana top-flight which has been the stopping block while the deal has not been completed up to now.
