Ghana Gas Pipeline which is operating from Atuabo in the Ellembelle District of the Western Region has been lambasted for not fulfilling their cooperate responsibilities.

According to the section of the fans who voiced their disappointments during a sports show on West End Radio were furious after hearing the company has stopped supporting the clubs especially Karela United for the past 18-months a promise they made to the clubs three years ago.

On May, 2020, Ghana Gas announced a relief package to support two clubs in their operational areas (Karela United and Nzema Kotoko) during the COVID-19 outbreak.

The clubs were informed to be given Ghc50,000 each every month to cut down their expenditure and also to serve as the company’s cooperate social responsibility.

Speaking on West End Radio, Hard Tackle Sports, the executive director of Karela United, Lawrence Cudjoe Saforo, emphatically made it clear that, his outfit have not received any money from Ghana Gas for the past two years.

“It never true we have been receiving money from Ghana Gas, although it wasn’t a contract we signed its just a ‘location’ to support the clubs as part of their social cooperate responsibility”.Cudjoe told West End Radio.

However, after hearing this shocking revelations, the supporters and football loving fans took the opportunity on radio to expressed their anger and called the leaders as wicked people.

“I am very sad about this story, Ghana Gas are very wicked on our players”.

“They should support our clubs because we are the people suffering the heat waves here”.

“Ghana Gas are not been fair to our clubs, this is totally wicked on our clubs”.

“Our leaders there are very selfish, that why clubs are suffering, they should start supporting our clubs”.They told West End Radio during the phoning segments.
