Midfielder Nurudeen Jibril Raja made his debut for Karela United against Akim Kotoku Royals in the BetPawa Ghana Premier League on Sunday.
The former Steadfast FC star was introduced prior to the start of the second half for injured Emmanuel Owusu Boakye at the Crosby Awuah Memorial Park in Aiyinasi.
The tie which ended 2-1in favour of Karela United saw the new chap put up a splendid performance.
The Passioners took the lead in the 12th minute from 19-year old Kharim Abdul Ayeh who fired in from a precise Augustine Randolph pass.
However, six minutes later captain Richard Dzikoe levelled for the away team before Evans Adomako Wiredu scored the match winner in the 36 minute.
Raja is expected to get more playing time in the coming games after impressing on his debut.
He played an extraordinary role in the Access Bank Division One League for Steadfast FC before joining Karela in the second transfer window.
