Two Division One League clubs, Nations FC and WAFA have reportedly dragged Skyy FC to the Disciplinary Committee for allegedly fielding unqualified player in matches against them.
Nations FC were defeated by 3-0 by the current Division One League Zone 2 leaders following an entertaining match at the St.Martins Anglican School Park in Daboase.
The results deepened Skyy FC chances of qualifying to the Ghana Premier league with 8-points (gap) advantage over Nations FC.
However, Nations FC has moved to file a protest against Skyy FC for allegedly fielding an unqualified player in the game.
Domesticsportsgh.com reports that, Nations FC and WAFA are accusing winger Victor Edgan JNR of not having required Certification for a change in a name, and also using different FIFA ID Numbers ( 10FLEL5) and (1GEDWQ0) with a name Victor Mends in the second round, therefore, making him ‘unqualified’ to feature for the Skyy FC team.
” The player who now identifies himself as Victor Mends was christened, Victor Edgan Jnr.but has undergone a change of name on two occasions with two different FIFA ID’s , with one recognized by the FA” the report said.
The player in question has used two different names/ Data in the ongoing Division One League and which makes him unqualified to play against WAFA, Nations FC and even Nzema Kotoko who have been told their (case against Skyy) is still ‘on hold’ despite earlier dismissal by the DC.
According to reports, Nations FC believe the player has breached Article 33 of the Ghana Football Association Division One League regulations by failing to complete process to obtain legal Certification of his name changed.
However, the Newly promoted Division One League side and WAFA are therefore, seeking to have Skyy FC forfeit the points they had against them.
This is the complete documents of the said player;
