World-renowned former tennis superstar Serena Williams has expressed her admiration for the outstanding growth of tennis in Ghana, particularly the ongoing 2023 National Junior Tournament in Accra.

The second edition of the National Junior Tournament, which began on March 31 and is scheduled to conclude on May 1, has become one of the most highly anticipated tennis events in the country.
On April 8, Williams shared some breathtaking photographs from the tournament on her Instagram story. These stunning images were captured by Beniigh, a sports photographer from Ghana.
Williams captioned her Instagram story, saying: “This is amazing to see.” The tournament is taking place at the Ghana Tennis Club at Adabraka.
Regarded as one of the greatest female athletes of all time, Serena Williams secured an impressive 23 Grand Slam singles titles, 14 in doubles and two in mixed doubles during her illustrious career.
Additionally, she claimed an Olympic gold medal in 2012. However, Williams said her goodbyes to the sport at the 2022 US Open, following a defeat to Ajla Tomljanovic in the third round.
