United Kingdom-based Ghanaian boxer Seth Gyimah won the hearts of many with his stunning performance in his second professional fight over the weekend.
On Saturday, April 15, Freezy MacBones, as he is affectionately called, squared off with veteran, Darryl Sharp, at the Copper Box Arena in London.
The 33-year-old light-heavyweight boxer, who turned pro at age 27, impressed the judges to clinch victory over his opponent.
Despite his stunning performance on the night, the emotions expressed in his post-fight interview are winning more hearts.
In the conversation, he recounted the struggles he had to endure as an immigrant from Ghana looking for a better life elsewhere and urged all to be inspired by his victory and persevere to make their dreams come through.
“I’m so proud of myself. My mum, and my family back home. They are all watching me and I made them proud because I came from nothing. There was no light or water. Nothing. But today I see myself in one of the biggest promotions, Queensberry. Come on bro. There is a God. whatever results happened there I don’t care. I see myself as a winner no matter what and I don’t back down.”
