Division One League: Heart of Lions crowned zone three champions

Kpando Heart of Lions have been crowned the zone three champions of the 2022/23 division one league season on Sunday.

The Kpando based club have accumulated 62 points from 26 games with just four games left to spare.

During the coronation match at the Kpando Park on Sunday, May 7, 2023 the Lions lads pipped A5 Rences 2-0 to climax the league season in a grand style.

Over thousands of spectators [With ninety-nine percent of them as fans of Hearts of Lions were at the Kpando Park to witness the crunchy fixture.

By virtue of winning the zone three of the division one league, Lions have been promoted back to the next season’s Ghana Premier League.

This becomes the second time that Kpando Hearts of Lions have qualified for the Ghana Premier League after 8-years break.
