Bibiani Gold Stars Striker, Abednego Tetteh has opened up on his readiness to play for the Black Stars if handed a call-up to the national team ahead of the next edition of the African Cup of Nations qualifiers in Cote D’Ivoire.
The 32-year-old striker leads the betPawa premier league goal scorer’s chart with 16 goals in 27 league appearances for Bibiani Gold Stars.
In an exclusive interview with Citi Sports, the former Hearts of Oak and King Faisal striker is confident of replicating his form on the domestic scene to the national team if the opportunity arises, despite missing out on Chris Hughton’s final 24-man squad for the next two Afcon qualifiers against Madagascar and Central African Republic.
“Yeah for sure, if I get the opportunity I would be happy, I got the opportunity in 2017, but I was dropped at the last minute.”

The in-form striker was on target over the weekend against relegated Kotoku Royals at the Dun’s Park grabbing a brace in that game.

With just two games to end the season, the 32-year-old striker is confident of adding to the numbers in his quest to clinch the golden boot this season.
