Ghanaian boxing sensation Freezy MacBones, known in private life as Seth Gyimah, has refuted nationality switch claims by the president of the Ghana Boxing Authority, Mr. Abraham Kotei Neequaye.

The esteemed Mr. Neequaye, on May 18, revealed on Max FM that the boxer dumped his Ghanaian boxing license for the British. This revelation caused quite a stir among boxing fans as they criticized the GBA president for letting go of such a talent.
However, in an exclusive interview on Max TV with seasoned host, Yaw Ampofo Ankrah, the boxer dismissed this claim by Mr. Neequaye, stating he has not switched nationality and will keep fighting for his homeland.
He further cleared the air by simply explaining the process of his British Boxing License acquisition; ” In the UK you’d have to go through a lot of processes before acquiring a boxing license. I was having a lot of challenges then I thought of fighting for Ghana. So I needed a boxing license. I spoke to a few people who assured me of getting it done. I sent all my details to them (GBA) so I can get my professional license so I represent Ghana from the UK but then I found out one cannot box in the country (UK) with a different country’s boxing license until going back to have few professional bouts before accepting your license. I asked the person getting my Ghana boxing license to halt so I can acquire the UK boxing license.”
