The Passioners are already dreaming of surviving relegation following their vital point against Asante Kotoko on Monday.
Karela United assistant coach Abubakari Damba is optimistic of retaining their topflight status after his side’s 1-1 away draw against Kotoko at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
After an incredible run of four unbeaten games in June, the Aiyinase based side hopes of surviving relegation was dealt with a big blow when they were shocked at home by Great Olympics in a pulsating goalless draw game.
However, a vital away point against Kotoko has gave them glimmer of hope on Sunday against Bibiani GoldStars.
“I was happy with our result against Kotoko, they boys played well and I have strong believe that we will enjoy and smile together after GoldStars game” Damba told Domesticsportsgh.com’s reporter Stephen Quaicoe.
“We have to build on this and to record impressive results going forward to keep our ambition of remaining in the league intact”He said.
“We thank the supporters, but we will need them on Sunday to make life easy for us” he added.
Karela United are now in red zone and hold 41 points ahead of the two remaining games to end the season.
