The Chief Executive officer of the newly promoted Ghana Premier League side, Bofoakwa Tano, Hon.Alex Ababio has revealed that his outfit spent a total expenditure of GHC400,000 ( $36,000) on their promotion to the Ghana Premier League.
Tano Bofoakwa qualified to the Ghana Premier League following their emphatic 7-6 on penalties victory against geographical rivals Techiman Eleven Wonders on Sunday.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Sompa Sports, he disclosed that qualification into the Ghana Premier League acquired a lots of hard work, sacrifice and huge financial strength before you can able to achieve your major target.
“For the purposes of clarity, we invested very well and that aided our promotion to the topflight, can you imagine our promotion to the Premier League cost us not less than GHC400,000, even the promotion playoff alone cost around GHC75,000.”, Hon.Ababio said”.
The Sunyani based club have returned to the Ghana Premier League since 2007, and will compete in the next season’s Betpawa Premier League alongside Nations FC and Kpando Hearts of Lions.
