The Tanzania giants completed their back-to-back domestic treble after beating Azam FC to win the 2023 Tanzanian FA Cup on Monday afternoon.

A first half strike from Zambian international Kennedy Musonda was enough to secure Young Africans SC the prestigious title, making it their third trophy of the 2022/23 season.

Young Africans SC had an amazing campaign after reaching maiden CAF Confederation Cup final where they lost to eventual winners USM Alger.

Young Africans SC have already clinched the Tanzania Premier League title for a record 29th time this season and the Tanzanian Community Shield.

The Ghanaian forward played an instrumental role in Young Africans SC’s triumph after making over 20 appearances across all competitions.

The 30-year-old lasted for 80 minutes in Monday’s Tanzanian FA Cup victory over Azam FC.

He rejoined Young Africans SC prior to the commencement of the 2022/23 season’s campaign after a surprised move to their arch-rivals Simba SC in 2020.
