As they begin their second consecutive season in the top division, newly appointed Samartex head coach Nurudeen Amadu has pushed his new team to improve upon last season’s success.
Nurudeen Amadu succeeds Annor Walker as the head coach of Samartex, who chose to part ways amicably with the Samreboi-based club after just one season in charge.
In an interview with Max FM during the Sports Pack Show, Nurudeen Amadu expressed his joy at being hired as the new head coach of Samartex FC and called the appointment a “Miracle.”
Amadu’s response when asked what he anticipates from his team this coming season was, “It’s a miracle I landed this job. I’m yet to visit the team and the facility, but I must say I’m very impressed with the project that’s happening here.”
“We are definitely going to do some recruitments and try and improve on our performance last season,” he added.
Samartex finished 9th in the 2022–23 BetPawa Premier League, their maiden edition in the top flight, while also crashing out of the MTN FA Cup in the round of 16 stage after losing to Real Tamale United.
