Having initially joined Mallorca in 2014 from the Leganes youth team, the 27-year-old midfielder garnered a total of 91 appearances during his tenure with the club.

The Ghanaian’s departure from Mallorca signifies the conclusion of an enduring association spanning nearly a decade with the team.

Iddrisu Baba is poised to embark on a fresh chapter with UD Almeria, reportedly sealing a 3-year contract worth approximately €2.5 million.

In a heartfelt gesture, Iddrisu conveyed his sentiments through an Instagram post, offering a profound farewell to the club and his fellow teammates.

He articulated, “Leaving a place I consider home is undeniably poignant, bidding adieu to a club with whom I’ve shared numerous memorable moments. Almost a decade woven into the red-black family, and suddenly the time has come to say farewell.”

He continued, “The journey persists, and I extend my heartfelt wishes to each Mallorcanista. Until our paths cross again, I want you to know that my affection for you is boundless, and my gratitude for the opportunities and shared experiences is immeasurable.”

Concluding on a resounding note, Iddrisu declared, “Once a Mallorcan, ALWAYS a Mallorcan supporter. Go Mallorca!!!” As he embarks on a new endeavor, Iddrisu Baba’s sentiment-laden departure marks a poignant transition from Mallorca to UD Almeria in his football odyssey.
