Head coach of Karela United, Shaibu Ibrahim Tanko has admitted that his outfit will experience difficult moments regarding the supporting base in the Northern Region when the season kicks off this month.
Earlier this week, the Bankroller and Member of Parliament for Tamale South, Haruna iddrisu revealed that Karela United will not be playing their 2023/24 home games at the Crosby Awuah Memorial Park due to the bad nature of the football pitch.
However, ahead of the 2023/24 Ghana football season, Coach Ibrahim Tanko has also added his voice and disclosed that, the Pride and Passion boys will be strangers playing at the Tamale Sports Stadium following the geographical location of their supporters hence he believes their modern style of play will surely attract more fans to follow them.
Coach Tanko made this revelation in an exclusive interview with Dagbon Sports at the team’s training grounds in Tamale.
” We are strangers in Tamale, but our style of play will attract fans here” Shaibu Tanko said.
Karela United will be using Aliu Mahama Stadium as their home venue ahead of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season.
The Passioners will play as guest to Legon Cities in the opening game of the betpawa Premier League.
