Basake Holy Stars produced an outstanding performance to dislodged leaders Skyy FC from the summit of the table in Aiyinase yesterday.
The Basake based club hosted the Daboase giant at the Crosby Awuah Memorial Park to chase points on matchday 8 of the ongoing 2023/24 National Division One League campaign.
In an exciting contest in the first half, Holy Stars had the lead after 38 minutes when Alex Murphy converted a direct free kick to beat Skyy FC goalkeeper Ohene Nimo.
Four minutes to the end the game in the second half, the Unbeatable lads cruised to a delightful 2-0 win at the end of the 90 minutes.
The win sees Basake Holy Stars climb to the summit of the Division One League Zone Two with 16 points after 8 games.
