Black Stars winger Kamaldeen Sulemana, played for Southampton on Wednesday night against Bristol City.
Sulemana could not see the game out as he succumbed to an injury, leading to his substitution. He was replaced by Scotland forward, Che Adams in the 35th minute.
Southampton put up a strong fight to win the English Championship match at St. Mary’s and earn all three points in the end.
Former Tottenham right-back, Kyle Walker-Peters, scored the game’s lone goal in the 42nd minute.
“It’s a bit of a worry. We’ll get it scanned and keep our fingers crossed it’s not too bad, but it’s the big disappointment of the evening.
“Al just picked up a little strain and we hope to have him back very quickly,” Southampton manager Russell Martin said after the game.
