Some section of Karela United fans based in Tamale in the Northern Region are reportedly not happy about coach Shaibu Tanko’s performance in the ongoing 2023/24 league campaign.
They believe that the club’s poor run in the league is due to the coach’s poor tactical tweaks and that they are not happy about the current position of the team.
Out of the 13 matches played in the league so far, Karela United have won two, drawn 6 and lost 5.
They are currently 17th on the league log with 12 points and they will make a hefty trip to play as guests to Nsoatreman FC at the Nana Koramansah Sports Complex in match week 14 of the Ghana Premier League.
Some fans in an exclusive interview with Domesticsportsgh.com right after their disappointing 4-0 home defeat to Bechem United revealed that, their head coach must up his game if the team want to remain in the league this season.
” Very disappointing result, the coach must vary his tactics”.
” I am particularly not happy about the coach, he should stop the family and friends things”.
” Karela must return to its spiritual home, the team is not good with this coach”.
” Coach Tanko should go, enough is enough”.
“Hon. Haruna must be bold to talk to him, things are not going well”.
” I think he (Tanko) must resign”…Some of the fans shared this with our Northern regional reporter Abubakar Illiazu.
The Pride and Passion boys have moved to Tamale following Hon.Haruna Iddrisu’s take over of the club as new owner.
