Players of Division One League side, Elmina Sharks have unanimously boycotted training and possibly their weekend away match with Basake Holy Stars on Sunday 11th December 2023, due to non payment of salaries and bonuses.
The report suggest that the players refused to train today due to unpaid bonuses and threatened not to honour their crucial league match against Holy Stars at the Crosby Awuah Memorial Park in Nzema Aiyinase.
Domesticsportsgh.com understands, the players are being owned for over three months and other bonuses since the commencement of the 2023/24 Division One League season.
The former Ghana Premier League side are reportedly facing financial crisis since the begining of the season.
Sharks are 7th on the summit with 13 points after 9 games.
